A Family Story,
in Senise.

Antonio Massimo Castronuovo

I'm the founder of M 3.5 S.R.L., born in Chiaromonte (PZ). This company continues a trade that started in my family before I was born, here in Senise, in the province of Potenza — today expanded with digital engineering and artificial intelligence, but built on the same foundations as always.

1967

The Roots: MEPAL

My father, Silvio Castronuovo, opened an electrical materials and lighting business in Senise: MEPAL. It's where everything started. I grew up in it too, learning the trade on the ground from a young age — electrical installations, elevators, maintenance: a craftsman's trade, built on hands-on work and trust with the town's customers.

2002 – 2012

Ten Years Away

Before returning to Senise I worked outside the region for a decade — as an elevator technician, electrical site foreman (between 2005 and 2007 at C.RE.A. di Galli Laura, in Viterbo, on industrial and civil contracts), video surveillance and anti-intrusion systems technician for banks and public bodies. A path that gave me the technical foundations I still build on today.

2012

S.M.I. — Silvio Massimo Impianti

I return to Senise and found S.M.I. together with my father Silvio, as technical manager — the name comes from combining our two names. Electrical systems, Tecnoalarm anti-intrusion, TV and satellite antennas: the same work we still tell about today in our practical guides.

2017

M 3.5 and the Piramide 3.5 Project Are Born

On November 9, 2017 I found M 3.5 S.R.L. in Senise, recognized as an Innovative Startup. I file the "Piramide 3.5" project — the patent that gives this platform its name — supported by a business plan validated by the Basilicata Region.

2018

SMAU Milan

Piramide 3.5 is selected to be presented at SMAU Milan, with support from the Basilicata Region and European FESR POR Basilicata 2014-2020 funds. An important recognition for a project born in a small town in Basilicata.

2019

Opening in Rome

We open an administrative office in Rome, incubated by Innova S.r.l., taking the project beyond the borders of Basilicata without ever detaching from Senise, where it all began.

2019 – 2023

The Real Struggles

Not everything went smoothly. We faced first-hand real obstacles managing public funding and serious problems with phone operators and banks — delays, unclear contracts, disputed bills. These experiences slowed us down, but they also taught us a lot about how to protect yourself: that's why today we offer practical support to anyone in similar situations.

2025

Green Flow Is Born

The idea for Green Flow comes from discussions with university colleagues in Parma, where I'm enrolled at the time, and takes shape at some events in Bologna where we present it for the first time: an evolution of the original project toward artificial intelligence and sustainability. We complete Phase 1 of the PwC entrepreneurial support program for Ecosister & Start Cup Emilia-Romagna.
